International College of Biomechanics (ICB)

Kirrawee, New South Wales - Australia

The International College of Biomechanics was founded in 1995, to provide Allied Health Practitioners with Professional Development and Training, primarily in the field of biomechanics. Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on, and within, the human anatomy. Forces applied to the body, will have a cause and effect on the musculoskeletal system, and it is these effects that biomechanical analysis can be used to diagnose dysfunction and assist in treatment protocols.

At the International College of Biomechanics our aim is to further develop biomechanical knowledge, providing unique assessment and treatment techniques to assist in patient recovery. Our courses are structured to provide theoretical learning, and the opportunity to put the proposed theories into clinical practice. The NAS Technique is the basis of assessing for lower limb biomechanical dysfunction. The NAS Technique is a step-by-step system of measuring and evaluating structural and/or muscular imbalance, overuse and strain, resulting from applied external forces.
