International Society of Biomechanics (ISB)

State College, Pennsylvania - United States

The International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) was founded at Penn State University on August 30, 1973 to promote the study of all areas of biomechanics at the international level, although special emphasis is given to the biomechanics of Human Movement. The ISB promotes and supports international contacts amongst scientists, the dissemination of knowledge, and the activities of national organizations in the field of biomechanics. The Society's membership includes scientists from a large variety of disciplines including anatomy, physiology, engineering (biomedical, mechanical, mechatronics, etc.), orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, sports science, sports medicine, ergonomics, electrophysiological kinesiology and others.

United States

Vegetation dynamics like growth, reproduction, winter rest, competition for nutrients, water, and light are strongly influenced and determined by climate variables. A change in climate will result in a change of these dynamics. A scientific discipline, which is able to link vegetation dynamics with climate variables, is phenology.

International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS)
United States

The International Society of Biomechanics in Sports is composed of members from all over the world with a common desire to study and understand human movement, especially as it relates to applied sports biomechanics. Participants come from a wide range of backgrounds including exercise science, education, engineering, computer science, rehabilitation and medicine to name a few. Over the years, members, presenters, exhibitors and invited participa

International College of Biomechanics
Australia

Provides practical training in assessment procedures and treatments. Contains list of courses. New South Wales, Australia.

International College of Biomechanics (ICB)
Australia

The International College of Biomechanics was founded in 1995, to provide Allied Health Practitioners with Professional Development and Training, primarily in the field of biomechanics. Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on, and within, the human anatomy. Forces applied to the body, will have a cause and effect on the musculoskeletal system, and it is these effects that biomechanical analysis can be used to diagnose dysfunction

American Society of Biomechanics (ASB)
United States

The American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) was founded in October 1977 by a group of 53 scientists and clinicians. There are several regional and national associations – the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Orthopaedic Research Society, for example, which regularly or occasionally assign portions of their meetings to biomechanics. These however, are generally attended by those people assoc
