PalDat is a palynological database designed by the Department of Structural and Functional Botany at the Institute of Botany, University Vienna.

The database was developed by Martina WEBER and Ralf BUCHNER in the course of the project "Development and implementation of a computerized , pollen relational database by means of digital image processing" in 1997. The aim was to catalogue the large amount of palynological data from a variety of plant families accumulated by the department through many years.
